Italians brewing coffee in a Moka is a tradition as long as one can remember. Waking up with a cup of coffee is almost a must for most. These white espresso mugs are hand painted with the same signature green spots of Grottaglie craftmanship. They bring so much joy to the breakfast table or post-meal enjoyment.
These espresso cups are Grottaglie's signature ceramic creations. The same designs are seen with a variety of tableware from plates, bowls, jugs, to vases. The master craftsmen obtain the stained effect (smamriato) by spraying the plates with branches from the Mediterranean shrubs, dipped in the residual glaze of colors. This has always made each piece unique and special.
